The basis for our success as pet sitters relies on compassion, integrity, and trust. We take pride in building close personal relationships with our clients and their beloved pets. Our objective is to make your pet's time away from you as comfortable—and as much fun!—as possible.  

My name is Julie Erickson Potter. My husband Ken and I are originally from Seattle, WA and now enjoy caring for pets as a husband and wife team in Scottsdale, AZ. I am an entrepreneur and graduate of the University of Washington, and Ken worked in the retail/service industry for 30 years.  

After owning a restaurant in the Seattle area for several years, I realized that I wanted to pursue a career in animal care taking. Since the idea of walking dogs in the rainy streets of Seattle did not appeal to me, in 2004 I moved to Scottsdale and started While You're Out Pet Sitting. In 2008, I met Ken, who retired from his job in 2010 and became a partner in the business full time.

We know how important your pets are, and we understand that they are an integral part of your life and deserve the best care possible. We agree that having a caretaker you can trust while you're away is imperative. We are here to give you peace of mind by providing your precious pets with the loving care they need while you're out!
